Beany advises a number of UK and international clients on corporate communications and issues management. With over 25 years’ experience, Beany specialises in media and training and has advised some of the world’s largest and best known companies in a range of complex situations. Her advice has brought her endorsements from chief executives and board members and given her a wealth of practical experience to impart. She has trained CEOs, industry spokespeople, scientists, sports men and women and ministers of foreign governments.
Beany has advised The Boeing Company, Drax Group plc, Wellcome Trust, UKRI, RBS, Burns & McDonnell, Charles Schwab, United Airlines, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, British Horseracing Authority, Rathbone Brothers plc the Student Loans Company and Genomics England. She is recognised as one of the industry’s most effective operators, whether guiding strategic plans for long-term change or managing short-term business issues.
Beany has promoted sporting participation in post-war Iraq, run live press offices at international events, dealt with corporate scandals, serious reputational challenges, and high-profile disputes. A trained journalist, she has worked across a broad cross section of the media, including print and broadcast at a local and national level. Finding it hard to put down her pen, having made the transition from media to PR in the 90s, she continued to cover the equestrian sport for The Sunday Telegraph during her first decade at Luther.
Beany is a Government Communication Capability Reviewer for the Cabinet Office, a member of the Aviation Club and was a judge for the Society of Editors’ National Press Awards. She joined Luther Pendragon in 2003 from the Credit Suisse Group, where she was Head of External Communications for the Life & Pensions Unit. She has a BEng (Honours) in Civil Engineering from Leeds University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Journalism from the London College of Printing.
